Yes, the best way to learn is with individualized instruction.

Do the cars have dual-controlled brakes?

Yes, your safety while learning to drive is very important to us.

How does the car insurance work during lessons?

During lessons with Fair Lawn Driving School you are covered under our policy.

How do I apply for a permit for my 16 year old?

A 16 year old must be enrolled in a 6 hour program with a licensed driving school and the school will obtain the permit.

Can my 16 year old start lessons if they did not take Driver Education in school?

Yes, like any 16 year old they must be enrolled in a 6 hour program with a driving school. Also they must pass the state law knowledge and vision test at NJ MVC.

Can I drop off paperwork in person?

Absolutely, we are available to assist you 6 days a week during business hours.

My child has a busy schedule. Will you be able to accommodate us?

We offer lessons 7 days a week so that we can meet the needs of our students.

I lost my permit. What do I do now?

A duplicate permit must be obtained in order to practice drive. A 16 year old will require the driving school that taught their 6 hours to obtain the permit for them.

Q: 

What type of car is acceptable for my road test?

The vehicle must have a valid: inspection sticker, registration and insurance card.  There may be no obstructions or consoles that prevent the examiner from reaching the foot or parking brake. No aftermarket tinted windows or rental car are allowed and back up cameras must be covered.  The vehicle must be in good safe condition and have the red decals displayed on both license plates.
